Information to couterparties

Identity and contact details of the data controller

In accordance with data protection legislation (in particular the Federal Data Protection Act, DPA, and the Federal Ordinance on Data Protection, DPO), the personal data of employees of counterparties will be processed by:

Azienda Elettrica Ticinese (AET), El Stradún 74, 6513 Monte Carasso (Data Controller).

 

Purposes of the processing

Personal data will be processed for the following main purposes:

  • Select the counterparty
  • Managing and executing contracts with counterparties (e.g. managing invoices and payments)
  • Recording telephone calls for evidential purposes (e.g. agreements concluded over the phone)
  • Assessing the creditworthiness of counterparties, possibly also using external services
  • Manage the relationship and communication with the counterparty
  • Manage the counterparty file
  • Manage any legal dossiers
  • Maintain a history of business relationships (e.g. offers, concluded contracts)

 

Profiling / Automated individual decisions

No profiling techniques are used and no automated individual decisions are made.

 

Categories of recipients of personal data and transmission of personal data abroad

AET does not disclose data to third parties, except in the context of software maintenance by external consultants, who may be based in Switzerland, Italy or Germany, and who offer adequate security guarantees.

Transfers only take place to countries and companies that provide an adequate level of protection.

 

Data retention period

The actuality of personal data is evaluated periodically (in principle once a year). Personal data that are no longer current and no longer required are deleted.
